You are in Dallas? I didn't realize that, how cool! Thanks for the greeting! Love meeting other online sellers, especially fellow Texans! :) No, we did not get to the State Fair, but we watched the Cotton Bowl on TV, does that count. LOL I started out on eBay in 2001, so we've both been around the bend awhile.  8) I shall enjoy chatting with you!

# Auctions / Liquidation
« Last post by surprisesupply on October 27, 2014, 10:39:45 PM »
In an effort to increase my sales, I searched for a way to obtain "new with tag" name brand items for my on line store and found that I could control the cost by participating in liquidation auctions. I have had to implement a higher level of strategy on my end as a seller to ensure I get the investment back. It has stretched me in fortuitous ways and so far I've doubled my monthly sales and net profit!! It's times like this that I wish I could do this full-time.  :o

# Garage Sales / Cost of Clothes
« Last post by surprisesupply on October 27, 2014, 10:23:07 PM »
I don't usually buy from garage sales, but when I do, I notice that I can always get clothes for $1 an item...even for name brand items. This cost is more cost efficient than thrift stores (when there's not a color tag sale). Unfortunately I miss getting the best goods at garage sales because I love sleeping in on Saturdays! One of my $1 finds yielded $50. Hmmm...guess I should do this more often! Needless to say, for all who are willing to put in the little bit of extra time to take pictures, measure and market a clothing item online, it can be fruitful.  ;)

Greetings Fort Worth! I'm in Dallas. I love Texas, too! Did you go to the State Fair? This is the last weekend and I'm afraid it may be too crowded for me so I'll set my sights on next year.   ;)

I sell on EBay and have since 2006. I first went to eBay school and began selling organic and natural products from a dropshipper. I found that it intruded too much into my full-time job because I often had to make calls inquiring about ship dates, in an effort to keep my feedback score at 100%.

Later I had another store selling health care products but found they infringed on EBay rules as medical equipment so several of my listings were shut down. Like the first store I often had to put in extra customer service time making calls to the dropshipper.

Currently I manage my own inventory selling womens clothes in my 3rd and only EBay store. I also sell books on Amazon. I do all of this in the evenings and on the weekends outside of my full-time job. It's a lot of work and very rewarding on so many levels! I love it!!

Anymore Texans out there??

# Spoof Email - What Bad Is Going Around / Fake PayPal Email
« Last post by WinnerGirl on October 17, 2014, 09:09:22 PM »
I received a fake email today, 10-17-14, it said it was from PayPal and if I completed a survey I would receive $75. I hovered over the link, it did not say it would go to PayPal, it was said something like melfortex.... It did not even look like a PayPal email. Beware!
